This unique
braiding line was developed for the manufacturing of
flexible stainless steel bellows with braided
metal strip.
The final product o.d. was 600 mm.
The complete line consists of a bobbin
winding machine for the preparation of the
braiders’ bobbins with stainless steel wires, 21
carrier braiding machines type 140 for the production
of the flat braid strips, and the large 96 carrier
horizontal braider type 300 for the manufacturing of
the final product.
This 96 carrier
braider was built with highly innovative technical
features, including carriers’ tension up to 50
kg
and rotors
speed of 160 RPM.
The dimensions of the line are just
extraordinary: 6.7 meters high, 6.5 meters wide and
12 meters long.
